The College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences at UNTHSC has three multidisciplinary departments that include Physiology & Anatomy, Pharmacology & Neuroscience and Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics. Position Overview
The College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences (CBTS) at the UNT Health Science Center (UNTHSC) seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor in Biomedical Sciences. This position is for Fall 2025 and is located at the UNTHSC in Fort Worth. The selected individual will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Disparities and Immunology. As professional part-time faculty, Adjunct Instructors plan classes, implement learning objectives, evaluate student learning outcomes, and adhere to college, departmental, and division responsibilities, including holding regular office hours.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in the area of Biomedical Sciences or Biological Sciences with graduate coursework relevant to the course assignment(s), and previous undergraduate or graduate level teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in areas such as human anatomy, physiology, pathology, molecular biology, or related biomedical disciplines.
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Familiarity with syllabus design, learning outcomes, and academic standards in higher education.
- Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard), virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams), and digital tools used in science education.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of college teaching experience.
- Online teaching experience at the college or university level.
