Department Summary
Department of Geography, UNT: We are an interdisciplinary, and collaborative department. Our faculty comprises of 14 members from 7 countries with expertise in: Earth Science & Modeling; Globalization, Development & Cities; Human Systems & the Environment; and GIS & Remote Sensing. We are located in the Environmental Education, Science, and Technology (EESAT) building along with environmental scientists and environmental philosophers as well as the Elm Fork Education Center.
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Overview
The Department of Geography seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters.
The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Geography or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree and three years of teaching experience.
