The University of North Texas at Dallas School of Education invites applications for the position Adjunct Instructor to teach in Teacher Education Undergraduate and/or Graduate Programs for the Spring 2025 semester. Position Overview
The Adjunct Instructor position at UNT Dallas involves teaching one or two courses per semester, depending on the institution's need based on student enrollment. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate courses and or graduate courses. This role requires a commitment to fostering an engaging and learning environment that supports student success. Adjunct faculty members are expected to collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic standards and ensure the alignment of course objectives with program goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Teacher Education with at least 18 credit hours at the doctoral level in bilingual education.
- A minimum of three years teaching, in the public school systems in elementary education subjects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Evidence of strong presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Availability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online for both day, evening, and/or weekend courses.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
- Teacher education, state certification in subject matter
- Bilingual Certification
- Texas Teacher Certification EC-4 Bilingual
- Texas Teacher Certificate 4-8 English as a Second Language
