Department Summary
The Center for Human Identification (CHI) is an accredited forensic laboratory located on the campus of UNT Health at Fort Worth. With funding from the state of Texas and various Federal Government agencies, CHI supports DNA testing, forensic genetic genealogy, anthropological examinations, CODIS operations, forensic training, and cutting-edge research and development initiatives. CHI also manages the Texas Missing Persons DNA Database.
Position Overview
Perform clerical and administrative functions in support of a state initiative, such as organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files. Position is part-time and contingent on grant funding, with the potential for a permanent role.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties
- Assist with digitizing paper files for a statewide project.
- Scan paper records, maintaining established categories and nomenclature.
- Organize and maintain a substantial volume of documentation in accordance with CHI policy and accreditation requirements.
- Operate office equipment, to include document scanners, computers, copiers.
- Assist CHI staff with other administrative assignments related to the project, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.

- No adverse environmental conditions expected.

19 hours/week during 8:00a - 5:00p workdays
