Position Overview
The Office of Admissions at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Admissions Processing Lead for the admission of prospective students, under the direction of the Processing Supervisor. The Admission Processing Lead will work primarily with international students during the application process for admission to an undergraduate degree program at UNT. This position is also responsible for data entry of application materials and transcripts into the Enterprise Information System (EIS), verification of authenticity of academic credentials and accreditation of schools, review, and evaluation of international transcripts, and generation of GPA evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from High School or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed.

- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
- Skill in composing routine letters and preparing reports.
- Skill in recording and compiling material for reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in a college/university or office setting.
- Experience reviewing and evaluating international credentials.
- Experience using PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Availability to work extended hours as required during peak periods.
- Ability to work independently and work well with a team.
- Good communication skills.

Job Duties:
- Process international transcripts and evaluate credentials by computing and entering grade point average. Determine degree equivalency, foreign school accreditation, English proficiency, verification of official foreign documents.
- Enter data in Enterprise Information System (EIS) for the GPA and referral reason with a high level of accuracy.
- Answer general questions concerning admission policies, procedures, and practices. Must maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures and convey to students, faculty, and staff.
- Serve as university and staff liaison for all aspects of international education by providing timely and accurate assistance to the university faculty and staff on required international admissions documents and processes. Address concerns and prioritize them.
- Serve as back up for data entry of domestic and international applications and transcripts for admission. Provide fast, accurate, and consistent high quality data entry for applications and other required admission documents.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; occasional overtime and weekends
