The Registrar's Office provides support services to students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the areas of academic advising support programs, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, transfer articulation, test credit, athletic certification and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for working with the academic units to ensure the proper coding and maintenance of all degree requirements in UNT’s degree audit application. Requires extensive knowledge and understanding of student, curricular, and academic records, processes, and academic policies and procedures including the ability to identify and address problems. Maintaining updated degree audits and sequencing has a direct impact on enrollment and retention. Requires superior analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated competence in use of logic. NOTE: This is a technical position and is NOT student facing.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in related field and two years of work experience in computing, information systems, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient understanding of relational database, clientserver concepts, and computer programming, and understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Certifications in supported technologies. Excellent organization, teamwork, problemsolving, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization

Job Duties
- Works with academic advising and support areas to develop and maintain degree audit system. This includes interpreting degree requirements, translating that information into the degree audit system terminology, and then entering that information into degree audit system tables (requires an understanding of the degree audit system processes and could be likened to learning a programming language).
- Collaborates with academic areas and interprets curricular requirements to maintain graduate level, four year and transfer sequencing guides/maps available on the UNT website for prospective and continuing students.
- Works with academic advisors and support areas to address individual student issues within the degree audit and student information systems.
- Provide technical assistance to Admissions, Records, and Transfer Processing staff to resolve issues with student records.
- Supports training opportunities for UNT faculty and staff on degree audit usage and functionality. Develops and maintains documentation of degree audit processes.
- Follows the proceedings of meetings of key committees to ensure that all approved changes and modifications to UNTs academic requirements are maintained in the degree audit system.
- Works with the Assistant Registrar for Academic Support as directed on system upgrades and new projects associated with the degree audit system.
