Department Summary
The Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center (DESRC) is a hub for students to receive support for professional and academic success through a variety of resources and community building during their time at UNT. Through the UNT Food Pantry, the Clothing Closet, the Mean Green Gowns for Grads program, and the We Mean Green Fund, the Center helps students with access to food resources, professional development, and engagement with sustainability initiatives on campus. The DESRC falls under the umbrella of the Dean of Students Office. The Dean of Students office offers support and guidance to students navigating the complexities of their academic and personal lives.
Position Overview
The Assistant Dean of Students will oversee the operations and primary administrative tasks of the Diamond Eagle Student Resource Center/Basic Needs Hub to ensure a cohesive, functioning space that actively works to minimize basic need barriers allowing students to focus on learning, growth and connection. This position will also maintain campus relationships related to the Hub, manage the budget, supervise the staff, and provide assessment details on the outcomes of the Hub's operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in relevant field.

Job Duties
- Provide strategic and visionary leadership to the Basic Needs Hub to support the goals and values of the Dean of Students office and Division of Student Affairs.
- Manage, maintain, and promote collaborations between campus partners and the Hub's programs, such as the Campus Monthly Sponsorship program - focused on regular donations from campus partners to the pantry and clothing closets.
- Ability to build relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Manage and maintain all budgets within the Hub.
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to the full time and graduate student staff.
- Oversees and coordinates assessment efforts geared toward the effectiveness of the Basic Needs areas including institutional assessment, and SACSCOC reporting.
- Effectively communicate with upper administration and the broader University about the impact of the Basic Needs Hub.
- Reconciles purchasing card transactions each month.
- Manage departmental records retention, campus wide space survey and inventory certification process.
