Position Overview
The Assistant Director for NIL will work directly with the Sr. Associate AD to support the day-to-day operations of UNT Athletics' Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), revenue share, and player personnel matters, including implementation and regular review of procedures and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in in related field and two years' of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA and conference rules and regulations
Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to NIL and revenue sharing
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree
NCAA Division I experience
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Serve as a resource for Name, Image, and Likeness, revenue share, and player personnel matters with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Under the direction of the GM, help oversee the implementation and regular review of NIL, revenue share, and player personnel procedures and best practices.
- Support the GM in management of the UNT Athletics’ player personnel, NIL and revenue share software and technology platforms.
- Assist with the coordination of meetings of university and campus stakeholders including but not limited to senior administrators, compliance, student-athlete development, academic services, development, and external relations. - (Essential)
- Assist athletics compliance as necessary with the tracking and monitoring of NIL/revenue share/player personnel activities in accordance with State of Texas and NCAA guidelines.
- Assist with creation and implementation of efficient and effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders abreast of the latest industry trends and developments.
- Assist in the coordination of meetings and communications with coaches and staff to discuss roster management, player personnel, NIL, revenue share, and other related issues.
- Stay updated on the latest NIL trends and best practices, including legislative advancements, NCAA regulations, and vendor landscape evolution.
- Adapt role to maximize efficiencies as NCAA and conference rules and regulations, and policies evolve.
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality, both within organization/university, and other external entities.
- Other duties as directed by the Senior Associate AD for NIL/GM, Associate Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, or Vice President/Director of Athletics.
