The Department of Preclinical Research Services at the UNT System College of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, ranked among the top 50 medical schools for seven consecutive years, the UNTHSC is a 33-acre graduate school located in the city's Cultural District with a local economic impact of $500 million annually. The UNT System College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school in Texas located on an academic health science center campus.

Position Overview
The Preclinical Research Service Department is seeking a skilled Business Coordinator to support administrative and financial operations. Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents using Word, Excel, and other software. Answer and route phone calls, greet visitors, and manage correspondence. Attend meetings and record minutes; coordinate agendas, catering, and travel arrangements. Manage onboarding/offboarding, ePARs, payroll, and employee documentation in collaboration with HR. Order laboratory supplies and equipment, process procurement card requests and fixed assets. Assist with pre- and Post-Award administration, budget analysis, and financial reconciliation. Maintain records, databases, and general office operations. Perform other related duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and comfortable with online technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of UNTHSC policies and procedures for Human Resources, Accounting, Faculty Affairs, Grants Contracts.
- One year experience working with EIS (PeopleSoft.)

Job Duties:
- Assist in managing the department budget, chart string reconciliations, and resource allocations.
- Identify/resolve issues by analyzing data and recommending solutions.
- Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings, appointments, events, interviews, making travel arrangements.
- Attend meetings to record minutes, prepare agendas.
- Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, equipment, records management, prepare invoices, reports, memos, financial statements and other documents.
- Prepare requisitions, ePARs/payroll processing, expense reports (concur); faculty hiring documents, service as department contract liaison.
