Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Integrity Office, the Clery Act Coordinator works collaboratively with various offices at the University to ensure the institution's compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and associated regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, compliance, audit, or other related field; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience complying with the requirements of the Clery Act. Completion of advanced Clery Act training.
- Attainment of the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers Professionals (NACCOP).
- Clery Compliance Officer Certification.
- Familiar with Title IX.
- Three years or more of work experience with an institution of Higher Education.

Job Duties:
- Works with applicable offices to obtain crime, fire, and disciplinary referral data for inclusion into the ASFSR and US Department of Education reporting. Works with Human Resources, Admissions, and other University offices to ensure all prospective students and employees, new students and employees have access to publications related to the Clery Act. Works with various institutional offices to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Sexual Assault Victims Bill of Rights and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act. Works with the appropriate University Departments to identify and notify all Campus Security Authorities for the institution and maintains a list of them for each academic year. Collaborate with the Division of Emergency Management to ensure that required emergency policies and testing are in place.
- Establishes Clery Act compliance programs at each separate UNT campus. In conjunction with the applicable offices, develops and implements Clery Act required policies, programs, and activities. Provides, facilitates, and/or coordinates training for institutional campus security authorities and key institutional stakeholders on Clery Act requirements.
- Prepares, publishes, and distributes the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR).
- Coordinates with appropriate university offices to maintain an accurate list of buildings and properties owned and/or controlled by the institution and/or recognized student organizations. Coordinates with the Police and Emergency Management to ensure compliance with the timely warning, emergency notification, and crime log fire log requirements in the Clery Act).
- Serves as the Records Custodian for all Clery Act-associated records and ensures the institution maintains accurate records on security awareness and crime prevention programs and presentations.
- Stays abreast of pending and final changes to the Clery Act and other laws or regulations affecting Clery Act provisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
