HSC Health is the academic clinical practice of the Health Science Center, where quality care meets quality education.
HSC Health primary and multispecialty care offices are located on the HSC, Denton and Dallas UNT System campuses, focusing on improving health outcomes to build healthier communities. Care includes mobile health initiatives and extends to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term/continuing care centers, and in-home care.
HSC Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, nurses and more work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide high-quality psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families. This position is intentionally designed with flexibility in mind and can be customized to align with the clinician’s specialized training and professional interests. The incumbent's specialty training may lie in psychological or neuropsychological assessment, therapeutic intervention, or an integrated blend of both.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. Current license to practice psychology in the State of Texas
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in providing psychological assessments and therapy to a diverse population. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and ethical guidelines.
Excellent clinical and communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents of various ages and with diverse needs.
Experience working with common childhood mental health disorders (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, trauma).
Proficiency in administering and interpreting a range of psychological tests
Experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy.
Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.

Job Duties:
- Psychological and/or Neuropsychological Assessment may include: *Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social functioning. *Administer and interpret standardized psychological tests, including intelligence, achievement, and personality assessments. *Provide timely, well-integrated, written reports summarizing assessment findings and recommendations. *Diagnose mental health disorders according to DSM criteria.
- Therapeutic Intervention may include: *Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral disorders. *Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). *Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each child and family. *Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Consultation and Collaboration: *Work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support the child's well-being. *Provide consultation to schools and other community agencies regarding children's mental health needs.
