Position Overview
The Human Resources Records and Systems Lead is responsible for managing, auditing, and maintaining confidential employee records and HR data in compliance with UNT System policies, state and federal regulations. This role leads functional and technical systems initiatives to ensure data integrity within HR systems, supports reporting requirements, and oversees records retention activities. As a member of the team, this role collaborates with payroll and HR staff and serves as a resource for internal and external inquiries related to employee records and data.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years of human resources experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Job Duties
- Maintain and manage personnel records, ensuring compliance with policies, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Ensure completeness, proper storage, organization, and retrieval of employee personnel files, using document imaging software to scan and index files as needed.
- Enter, verify, and update employee data in applicable systems; identify discrepancies and manage or coordinate corrections.
- Manage electronic Payroll Action Request (ePAR) helpdesk and acts as a point of contact for technical assistance, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance to end users enabling timely completion of employee record updates.
- Serve as a key technology tester for HRIS patches, updates, and enhancements before production release.
- Assist with data analysis needs, surveys, and creation of standard and ad-hoc reports to include internal and external reports and administrative reporting requirements.
- Process personnel actions, quality assurance reviews, and data- and records-purging processes for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Provide guidance to faculty and staff on HR record-related inquiries and partner collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to support cross-functional records-related initiatives and provide training and technical assistance for systems and processes.
- Coordinate fulfillment of employment verification, public information, and other employee records requests and inquiries ensuring timely, responsive service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
