Position Overview
The Office of Sponsored Programs, at the UNT Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Post Award Analyst to join our team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Up to date knowledge of applicable law, and federal and state grant guidelines, including but not limited to FARS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, and Uniform Grant Management Standards
- Understands and respects the need for structured guidelines and protocols but is willing to ask for clarification if something doesn't make sense and could cause unnecessary problems for a coworker, the organization or could result in less than an excellent level of service for a customer
- Very attentive to details
- Asks questions to accurately document information and update records
- Shows concern for every aspect of the job, no matter how minute
- Excellent communication and follow-up.

Job Duties:
- Serve as the primary liaison with external sponsors for all official communication, research, interpret, and apply sponsor terms and conditions, and applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
- Review and approve research expenditures on sponsored project accounts for compliance based on applicable law, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies; institutional effort and payroll allocation policies, and in accordance with OSP procedures for ePAR review
- Perform substantive review of payroll allocations prior to effort reporting distribution
- Administer effort reporting cycle for portfolio of sponsored projects
- Monitor timely receipt of effort certifications and alerts regarding discrepancies
- Ensure subrecipient monitoring compliance concerns are managed appropriately review and analyze audit reports, complete risk assessments and monitor management plans
- Track and review subcontractor invoices for compliance against sponsor guidelines, monitor purchase orders, identify and resolve PO and payment issues
- Manage and monitor electronic sponsored project files for accuracy and completeness to ensure audit ready records
