Position Overview
Program Manager intern position is an entry-level position that supports program and event planning, marketing, and data analysis and reporting for the SLS department.
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree with relevant majors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of program planning best practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation
- Considerable knowledge of event and workshop planning strategies
- Current knowledge of sponsorship and fundraising best practices.
- Strong presentation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collect and analyze program data to establish annual goals and objectives
- Ability to communicate effectively with wide populations verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships Ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Participates in off-campus and on-campus events supporting the SLS department.
- Develops a vision, plans, marketing strategies, and budgets to implement successful programs, workshops and events.
- Collect, maintain, and utilize assessment data to evaluate and enhance program planning.
- Recruits, coordinates with, and evaluates the work of workshop facilitators and speakers.
- Collaborate with UNT Dallas and program counterparts to ensure effective program implementation.
Physical Requirements
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
Environmental Hazards
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, some Saturdays. 9-1pm or 1-5pm
