Position Overview
This position is responsible for addressing gaps in college-readiness through innovative and relevant student-centric programming. The Program Project Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including implementation and recruitment of student programming, assessment efforts, and student mentorship. This position will play an intricate role in the redesign and/ or expansion of the department’s current retention initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Job Duties:
- Assists with implementation, promotion, and logistical support of new and existing college-readiness programming supporting students through their transition into college.
- Plans and implements program presentations and workshops. This includes, but is not limited to, lesson plans, activities, and trainings.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and provides on-going supervision of peer mentors and/or student employees. Provides mentorship as needed with program participants.
- Collaboration and assistance across the VPSS teams/ colleagues and academic departments.
- Maintains relationships with appropriate stakeholders such as alumni, on-campus partners, and community organizations.
Work Schedule:
M-F 8-5pm; some evening and weekends
