The College of Pharmacy was established in 2011 and is part of the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth (UNTHSC). Other colleges at UNTHSC include the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Public Health, College of Health Professions, College of Biological and Translational Sciences, and the College of Nursing. Located in the Fort Worth cultural district, the University of North Texas Health Science Center is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University currently enrolls 2,700 graduate students who are pursuing degrees in medicine, bio-medical sciences, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, nutrition, lifestyle health, and public health. The University is well-positioned for rapid expansion, matching the growing population and economic vitality of the DFW Metroplex.
Position Overview
The Project Manager is a highly visible member of the team responsible for project evolution from concept to completion in an interprofessional, collaborative venue. The Project Manager is responsible for assuring project collaboration in a timely manner sufficient to produce intended outcomes. This role is also responsible for regular reporting of strategic initiatives, quality improvement and special projects within and impacting the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of concepts and principals of project management.
- Understanding of how project management integrates within day to day processes.
- Ability to lead and direct teams on various projects at the same time and able to problem solve using judgment based on the analysis of information.
- Developed interpersonal skills to exchange project information with multiple audiences.
- Be a reliable team member with the ability to consistently perform tasks independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to manage projects in a way that inspires cross-functional team members to stay engaged and deliver excellent results.

Job Duties
- Use project management skills and tools to manage and/or support large, multifaceted projects and initiatives for the institution.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; assist with preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; assist with implementing change.
- Support process improvement initiatives by helping integrate project management concepts.
- Facilitate organization-wide surveys, analysis and write-up of project data.
- Analyze data to develop and assist with the dissemination of reports, as requested by leadership including faculty-specific, departmental, school, institutional, and system-wide that will guide decisions in the organization.
- Develop ad hoc reports, as needed, to support institutional initiatives and requirements.
- Facilitate meetings with senior leaders and stakeholders of the organization around critical issues.
- May provide supervision and daily direction to assigned staff.
- Support organizational quality management and process improvement programs.
- Assist the Director in the development and timeline of course meeting patterns before being submitted to academic leadership and Curriculum Directors.
- Manage the process and timeline of the creation of Canvas courses and Lecture Capture systems.
- Serve on committees as assigned including SEED and accreditation.
- Work with faculty to ensure all classroom needs are met.
- Work with faculty in all technology areas relating to their role including but not limited to CORE, Simulationiq, Mediasite, Canvas and other technology as necessary.
- Implement and manage Data Request Project Management System in ServiceNow.
- Data Reporting as needed to support the Director Academic Data mission.
- Other Academic Data and Technology duties as assigned.
