Department Summary
The University of North Texas (UNT) International Recruitment Office operates within the Division of UNT International Affairs and plays a crucial role in attracting top-performing international students to study at UNT. The UNT International Recruitment Office focuses on outreach efforts, including traveling globally to share information about UNT’s Undergraduate and Graduate academic degree programs and to assist prospective international students on the application process. As UNT is home to more than 7,400 international students and scholars, the UNT International Recruitment Office ensures that international students have the resources they need to transition smoothly into their studies at UNT. Additionally, the UNT International Recruitment Office collaborates with various UNT departments to enhance global engagement and to continue to foster a diverse academic community.
Position Overview
The Student & Program Coordinator will ensure the efficient operation of the administrative processes and excellent student service in the International Recruitment Office.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of professional related experience in coordinating or administering higher education programming or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple ongoing responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Worldly curiosity demonstrated by studying abroad, language acquisition or relevant international experience.
- Familiarity with international education professional organizations like NAFSA.
- Basic understanding of the challenges unique to international students.
Job Duties:
Office Administration
- Processing requisitions, tracking costs, (re)ordering inventory, maintaining office calendar.
- Supporting the operations of in country reps abroad.
Recruitment Coordination
- Researching recruitment fairs.
- Making event travel arrangements, preparing shipments, processing reimbursements.
Account Administration
- Support the administrative processes of the Agency Program including tracking applicants, processing payments, renewing agreements.
- Answering agent questions.
Data Input and Retrieval
- Manage the accurate input and accessibility of prospect and applicant data using systems including EIS CRM.
- Produce reports to support recruitment campaigns.
- Maintain recruitment contact databases.
Prospect Applicant Communication
- Ensure timely, accurate, positive response to prospect applicant queries through email chat.
- Assist guide student workers to research answer queries.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, occasional time outside of normal business hours may be required
