Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Residence Life, the Student Program Coordinator is a full-time professional staff member within Housing & Residence Life who serves as a connector, collaborator, and project manager for student engagement initiatives and campus partnerships.
This position is responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with campus partners—including UNT Athletics, Health & Wellness, UNT Police, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs in order to create an integrated, impactful, and educational residential experience. The coordinator supports large-scale initiatives such as Mean Green Move-In, manages outreach logistics and space reservations, and plays a key role in implementing and advancing the department’s Residential Engagement & Learning Framework.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of professional related experience in coordinating or administering higher education programming or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Campus Partnerships & Outreach • Serve as the departmental liaison to key campus partners, identifying and coordinating opportunities for co-curricular programs that bring academic, wellness, and university resources into residence halls. • Foster intentional relationships with faculty and staff to support academic integration and well-being through residential engagement initiatives. • Coordinate tabling, outreach efforts, and in-hall programming logistics for external departments seeking to engage residents, including managing a centralized system for scheduling, communication, and follow-up. • Oversee the reservation and scheduling process for Housing & Residence Life spaces to ensure equitable and efficient access for internal and external users.
- Signature Events & Student Engagement • Lead and coordinate large-scale departmental initiatives, including Mean Green Move-In and other collaborative programs that contribute to student belonging, visibility of campus services, and overall retention. • Support and elevate Living Learning Communities, cohort-based initiatives, and Faculty/Staff-in-Residence efforts through aligned and strategic engagement opportunities. • Develop and implement engagement strategies and programs in alignment with the Residential Engagement & Learning Framework. • Assist in recognition and celebration efforts for student leaders, collaborators, and campus partners to promote a culture of appreciation and shared success.
- Educational Strategy & Support • Support the development and organization of educational resources and materials connected to the Residential Engagement & Learning Framework. • Assist in training professional and student staff on residential engagement best practices and educational approaches. • Collaborate on the creation and refinement of educational materials and presentations used in residential programming.
- Assessment & Strategic Alignment • Develop systems for tracking and reporting student engagement, including event participation, partner involvement, and student feedback. • Use data and trends to inform planning, improve program design, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Supervision • May supervise student staff, interns, or committees related to engagement, outreach, or special events.
