Position Overview
The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Student Services Coordinator. This position provides support to Student Organizations and Fraternity and Sorority Life, being responsible for the initiation, development, and coordination of student centered programs with campus wide impact. Position oversees the leadership development initiatives, education programs, and enforces risk management policies and procedures for all registered student organizations and fraternities and sororities. This position is responsible for including, but not limited to: Implementation and management of program(s) and related activities/events, budget management, program assessment, and serving as the primary program liaison for Student Organizations and Fraternity Sorority Life within Student Engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience related to the administration and support of student services programming. Strong presentation skills, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail and follow instructions without close supervision. Demonstrated ability to multitask, work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines with overlapping projects. Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters Degree in related field and 2 years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience Experience developing student organizations. Experience with community service programs. Experience in budget development, monitoring and analysis. Experience working higher education or with higher education institutions, public and/or private. Knowledge of best practices as it relates to student engagement. Knowledge of group process training and development practices. Knowledge of the mentoring process.

Job Duties:
- Assists the Assistant Director in gathering information regarding discipline cases centered on Greek letter organizations.
- Assists in the development and revisions of public relations, recruitment, and information materials to communicate programs and services for all student organizations.
- Informs and advises the Assistant Director regarding issues, polices, procedures, and incidents with Student Organizations and Fraternity Sorority Life.
- Provides information and assistance to students, student organizations, University departments, advisors, and the public.
- Develops and conducts appropriate assessments of program activities and effectiveness, reporting outcomes and utilizing data to contribute to strategic planning.
- Interprets/explains polices related to organizations of the University and Student Code of Conduct to students, faculty and staff, in person, by mail, print, or phone.
- Enforces all university policies.
- Advise the Greek Leadership Council (GLC) and Student Organizations Presidents Council (SOPC).
- Communicates effectively in writing and orally.
- Completes special projects and assignments as related to Student Organizations and Fraternity Sorority Life.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00pm; some evenings and Saturdays
