Department Summary

FIREL is a blended department with a major emphasis in finance. The department offers coursework at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. The department values teaching excellence and meaningful research accomplishments by its faculty.

Position Overview

We expect that the individual filling this position will excel in the classroom and teach three courses each semester, dependent on department needs. We also expect the individual to make progress on their research, including at least one presentation to the department faculty. Development of manuscripts suitable for journal submission is expected. Also, the individual will be assigned a service appointment(s), dependent on departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D in finance from an AACSB accredited university; or having equivalent applied experience in accordance with faculty credentialing guidelines. Employees in this job may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and they must be able to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in finance from an AACSB accredited university; some previous teaching experience.
Special skills and knowledge in the areas of corporate finance, portfolio theory and the general area of business finance.
