Department Summary

The College Public Affairs and Health Sciences (PAHS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design. We have seven academic departments with undergraduate and graduate programs, the Center for Public Management, the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, UNT WISE and a number of professional development and clinical training programs to facilitate careers to address a global society. PAHS students are trained to lead nonprofits, become educators, researchers and professionals who strengthen the communities we serve, with thoughtful practices as audiologists, behavior analysts, city managers, emergency managers, health care administrators, public safety administrators, public health specialists, rehabilitation counselors, speech-language pathologists, social workers, urban planners, and more. Located within HPS, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, which offers professional services to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students. The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome
candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) is actively recruiting qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 terms. We welcome applications at any time for teaching opportunities in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Specific course assignments will vary based on departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology or a related field, or a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a
related field

Preferred Qualifications

University teaching experience.

This position is responsible for managing the coding team, coding training, provide audit reviews, and clinician documentation training. This role will help make the clinician practice more successful and make this easier for the clinicians and reduce audit risk.

Office Support Associate

The person in this position is responsible for performing public relations functions as well as delivering great customer service. The customers in this unit are the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management Director, Staff, Chairs, Faculty and External constituencies including internal and external guests that enter the SMHM Director's suite. It is necessary for the person in this position to be flexible in multitasking and changing from task to another quickly. Interruptions of scheduled work may occur; thus, flexibility is necessary to accomplish the work in a timely manner. The person in this position must be able to organize work based on priorities established by the School Director.

Donated Body Transport Supervisor

The Donated Body Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of all transport staff within the Willed Body Program. This role ensures the efficient, professional, and respectful transportation of deceased individuals in accordance with departmental protocols and legal requirements. The Supervisor will lead the recruitment, training, and scheduling of transport personnel, maintain supply inventories, address staff performance issues and updating protocols. This position requires oversight of a 24/7 operation, ensuring staff availability for round-the-clock coverage and providing technical support to transport personnel.

Assistant Director, Curriculum Management & Student Aid

The UNT Dallas College of Law invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for Curriculum Management and Student Aid. The Assistant Director of Curriculum Management and Student Aid will report to (1) the UNT Dallas College of Law Law Registrar and (2) the UNT Dallas Director of Financial Aid, depending on the responsibilities involved. This position combines the responsibilities of curriculum management as well as administers the law school's student financial aid. This position monitors the academic needs of our students to provide guidance to academic affairs regarding those findings, ensures student enrollment is properly executed and academic records and course examinations are properly structured. Finally, this position is important because it helps our students continually audit and receive advice about their course offerings, academic standing, and how both impact student financial aid.
