Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Parking at the University of North Texas supports parking services by overseeing daily operations, customer service, parking software management, and policy development. This role requires collaboration with other departments, manages budgets, and focuses on enhancing campus parking and transportation solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with customer service and conflict resolution in a high demand environment.
Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and generate reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a university or large instructional setting.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Valid Driver's license
Job Duties
- Directs the daily operations of the Parking and Transportation Services personnel office by assigning duties, overseeing workflow, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality customer service practices.
- Reviews and monitors employee timesheets and related exceptions in EIS, collaborating with departmental staff and the appropriate UNT System offices. Utilizes EIS queries and other reporting tools to conduct analyses and prepare operational reports.
- Manages the full employment lifecycle for all Parking and Transportation Services employees, including full‑time, part‑time, retirees, non‑student hourly workers, and student employees.
- Provides both formal and informal training to departmental staff on timesheet procedures, eLeave, hiring processes, and other relevant systems, policies, and workflows.
- Coordinates special projects and assignments across Parking and Transportation Services, including participating in beta testing or supporting UNT World initiatives as requested. Consistently completes assigned responsibilities on schedule and with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and follow‑through.
