The Testing Services at UNT Dallas is committed to supporting the academic and professional success of students and community members. Being the central testing location in the DFW metroplex, our testing center provides a plethora of exams, maintain exam integrity, provides a safe testing environment, and is committed to the proctoring services of high stakes certification exams, educational placement exams, and correspondence exams for other educational institutions.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Student Success & Testing Services and will work with them to ensure processes for the computer lab and TSI are functioning efficiently. They will also assist in budget, reports and communication related to Testing, while supervising Testing Coordinators and Testing Staff. They will also work with Staff and Faculty as it relates to Testing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Supervise and lead professional and student staff of the testing center, including training professional
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Student Success and Testing to align TSI program goals with the broader student success strategies of the university
- Review TSI (Texas Success Initiative) scores for prospective students who attend New Student orientation, while working with the Director of Student Success and Testing and Coordinator of Testing.
- Maintain and update student records for TSI completion status.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Success and Testing to produce detailed diagnostic reports on TSI program performance and student progress and to assist in reporting processes.
- Work with the Coordinator of Testing to ensure effective administration of TSI and related testing services.
- Stay informed on Texas state laws and policies related to developmental education and TSI requirements, ensuring institutional compliance.
- Collaborate with Director of Student Success and Testing with annual Developmental Education Program Survey (DEPS) report.
- Collaborate with Director of Student Success and Testing Services and the Office of Strategic Analysis and Reporting to complete and submit the CBM002 report for state compliance.
- Assist Director with the administration of all university testing services, including but not limited to TSI, Accuplacer, CLEP, classroom exams, placement tests, TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) exams, Meazure Learning, and non-UNT proctored exams.
- Develop and manage the testing appointment schedule to ensure optimal availability for academic and proctored testing.
- Oversee the management of testing lab and the execution of all proctored exams.
- Ensure compliance with Pearson, CLEP, Accuplacer, TCEQ, Meazure Learning, and ETS testing standards and protocols in the testing labs.
- Collaborate with the Coordinators of Testing to maintain proper test security, integrity, and compliance with the guidelines of various testing providers.
- Coordinate the preparation and setup of testing software and workstations to accommodate Pearson, CLEP, Accuplacer, TCEQ, Meazure Learning, and other standardized assessments.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with university departments and stakeholders to promote a positive testing environment that supports student success.
- Work with the Director of Student Success and Testing on strategic planning and operational improvements.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with potential weekends
