Department Summary
The mission of the Law Library is tied to the educational mission of the College of Law. The Law Library will lead the way in teaching, resources, and services aimed at developing information-related competencies critical in law practice.
Position Overview
The Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP), a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Independent School District, places high school students with law firms and corporate legal departments throughout the Dallas-area for up to eight weeks during the months of June, July and August 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be selected by the The Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) prior to completing this application. Dallas ISD high school juniors during the current school year.
Academic average of 85 or above, no more than 10 absences
Interested in studying law preferred

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in legal studies or the legal profession

Job Duties:
- General office management tasks.
- Answering phones.
- Organizing supplies.
- Data entry.
- Scanning documents.
- Delivering documents.
- Basic research tasks.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 19 hours per week Temporary position lasting up to 8-weeks
