The Central Business Office (CBO) at UNT Dallas provides expert support for personnel processing, procurement, and software purchasing across the campus. By centralizing these services, the CBO streamlines operations, ensures policy compliance, and helps departments focus on their core missions. Our goal is to deliver timely, accurate, and customer-focused business solutions that support the university’s strategic goals.
Position Overview
The Finance Operations Coordinator position offers the ability to work independently as well as in a supportive team atmosphere. The position will perform a wide variety of administrative business functions including payroll, human resources, budgeting, procurement, employee reimbursements, trainings, and reporting in support of multiple departments and programs across campus.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in professional formats
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively
- Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness
- Skilled in developing and maintaining good working relationships
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function
- Skilled in supervisory skills
Preferred Qualifications
Some knowledge of Adobe publishing software. Some knowledge of basic social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter).Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software, (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel)Customer service experience.

Job Duties
- Assisting in greeting and answering queries from students/faculty other visitors to the Deans Office
- Answers telephone; takes messages; provides information.
- Assist Deans Office and academic programs with social media, creating fliers other printed materials.
- Room scheduling for the departments.
- Purchasing ordering for the departments.
- Ordering office supplies for the departments.
- Organizing supplies for the departments.
- Organizing and labeling the mailroom for LAS.
- Opening, sorting and distributing mail.
