Position Overview
This position will be involved in animal husbandry assisting current lab staff in genotyping the rats, behavioral tests, and molecular studies. Maintaining lab equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions
- Skill in recording and maintaining reports and details logs
- Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization best practices

- Animal lab work

Job Duties:
- Assist in the conduct of research, including the collection of information and/or samples.
- Cleans laboratory equipment such as glassware, metal instruments, sinks, tables and test panels.
- Labels and fnes microscope slides.
- Arranges specimens and samples on trays to be placed in incubators and refrigerators.
- Delivers supplies and laboratory specimens to designated work areas.
- Maintains inventory reports and logs.
- Set up, clean, and maintain, laboratory and field equipment
