The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for Adjunct Instructor positions in Mathematics for the 2025–2026 academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to contribute to the continued growth and development of the UNT Dallas Department of Mathematics.

Position Overview
The number of vacancies will depend on student enrollment, division needs, and dean approval. Your application cannot be considered until all required documents have been received.
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning classes, implementing and evaluating teaching/learning objectives, and assessing student learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours and fulfilling the professional obligations of a part-time faculty member.
The successful candidate will provide instruction for lower-division mathematics courses, which may include:
• Developmental Mathematics
• College Algebra
• Business Algebra
• Business Calculus
• Elementary Statistics
• Contemporary Mathematics
• Mathematics for Teachers
Most courses are offered in the afternoons and evenings on the UNT Dallas campus.
Adjunct faculty may be required to use specific textbooks and adhere to instructional parameters set by the Department of Mathematics. Instructors will also be expected to incorporate departmental assessment measures into their courses and to compile and report relevant data.
Minimum Qualifications
• A master's degree in mathematics with demonstrated success in teaching lower-level mathematics courses; or
• A master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics and demonstrated success in teaching lower-level mathematics courses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications
• A Ph.D. in mathematics, or a Ph.D./Ed.D. in Mathematics Education with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
• Significant experience in higher education
• Successful experience teaching adult learners in a post-secondary setting
• Excellent communication skills
