Position Overview

The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for Adjunct Instructor openings for the academic year 2024-25. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching. UNT Dallas offers faculty the unique opportunity to help shape the character of a 21st century, learner-focused, urban comprehensive university.

The number of vacancies is dependent on student enrollment, division needs, and dean approval. Your application cannot be considered until all required documents have been received. Please note that adjunct faculty are limited to teaching two courses per semester.

Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in introductory Music Appreciation courses with a focus on American Music from the late-19th century to the present.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Master of Fine Arts degree, or a degree from a related field.

  • Significant experience in college instruction.
  • Successful experience teaching adults in a post-secondary institution.
  • Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings.
  • Familiarity with online modes of delivery
