Position Overview
As a recruiter, you will be responsible for recruiting and interviewing potential employees. You will develop specialized recruiting strategies to meet the workforce needs of various business units and perform executive, standard, and high-volume recruitment. By leveraging both external and internal sources, you will find the best candidates for open positions. You will collaborate with hiring managers to determine the required skills and experience for each position and act as a consultant to guide them through the hiring process. You will also represent and promote the university at community-based events.
To be considered for the classification of Senior Recruiter, you must meet these additional qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and four (4) years of progressive talent recruiting experience with a focus on executive candidate generation; or any equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years of progressive and varied recruitment experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to the recruitment and employment functional areas of Human Resources
* Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems
* Skill in using office computer information systems to organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve data
* Highly effective communication skills both orally and in writing
* Critical thinking skills
* Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and competing priorities
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
* Focused on providing a high level of customer service and follow through
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with recruiting in an academic setting, 3 years of experience recruiting faculty and/or executive level positions

Job Duties
- Responsible for providing full lifecycle recruitment to source, evaluate, and recruit talent into the organization to align with UNT System needs, including management of executive and high volume recruitment. Manages the selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening and recommending finalists to hiring managers and search committees.
- Proactively collaborates with hiring managers to develop, implement, and evaluate specialized recruiting strategies by proactively recruiting well-qualified candidate pipelines from a variety of internal and external sources to meet the workforce needs of multiple business units.
- Partners with hiring managers to determine requirements, resource needs, and compensation to prepare and negotiate job offers. Attends and/or conducts interviews with managers, directors, search committees and other stakeholders.
- Assists hiring managers with interviewing and dispositioning process to include overseeing the preparation of values-based interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. -
- Provides guidance on matters related to recruitment/talent acquisition to internal stakeholders on best practices and may serve as a coordinator for special projects.
- This position excludes recruitment programs administered by a country designated by the State of Texas or United States as a foreign adversary.
