The College of Education (COE) at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton has been an innovator in preparing educators since being established in 1890 as a teacher’s college. Position Overview
The Recruitment and Alumni Engagement Coordinator supports core enrollment and engagement functions of the College of Education, including recruitment pipeline coordination and alumni outreach. This position serves as a key liaison between prospective students, current students, alumni, academic programs, and campus partners to strengthen recruitment pipelines, enhance alumni involvement, and support College of Education goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in recruiting, academic advising, counseling, student services, customer service or related experience or can substitute education for experience.

Strong presentation skills and problem solving skills. Developed interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Experience with Microsoft Office Products. Ability to obtain credit card for travel. Good driving record and access to a vehicle. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Professional in appearance, motivated, self-directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with populations in a positive, courteous and professional manner. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and using online platforms with prospective students. Prior experience with online teaching/learning or digital resources. Exceptional organizational skills. Customer services skills. Competency in MS Office programs as well as publishing, marketing and online media tools. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties
- Plan, create, and manage online and in person recruitment marketing campaigns for the College of Education (COE), supporting both undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Plan and coordinate alumni engagement initiatives that support continued connection to the College, including networking events, professional development opportunities, and communications campaigns.
- Engage with prospective students through in person events and digital communication, providing detailed information about COE academic programs and pathways.
- Collaborate with the COE Communications Specialist to strengthen the online presence and visibility of COE online graduate programs and alumni involvement and achievements.
- Monitor and maintain a database of prospective students, providing timely advising information and responding to requests for additional details.
- Serve as a liaison between alumni, academic departments, and College leadership to strengthen alumni relationships and foster ongoing involvement.
- Travel to school district–hosted recruitment events to promote COE undergraduate, graduate, and online programs.
- Manage and respond to online inquiries generated from the COE graduate program webpages, forwarding requests to appropriate departments and academic programs as needed.
- Develop and deliver recruitment presentations for both virtual and in person audiences.
- Support alumni participation in student recruitment efforts, such as referral initiatives, testimonial content, event participation, and admissions outreach.
- Assist with planning and execution of alumni events, both virtual and in person, including communications, logistics, and follow up.
- Assist prospective online students throughout the admissions process, answering questions, guiding application steps, and connecting students with resources such as Financial Aid and the Toulouse Graduate School.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday and some evenings and weekends may be required. Must have access to a reliable vehicle for travel needs, as travel can be up to 70% of the time.
