Department Summary
The goal of this Division of Research initiative is to expand our research support infrastructure through the development of a suite of programs and cores to foster scientific and medical discovery at HSC. This expansion will foster scientific collaboration across HSC departments, DRIs, as well as local DFW hospitals by providing faculty members with the tools, staffing and research expertise.
Position Overview
The employee in this position will work in the Division of Research Administration under the guidance of Dr. Karrie Curry in the Clinical Interdisciplinary Core and will provide necessary research support and work closely with Principal Investigators in the funded study for adolescence mental health.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Advanced skills with common office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop
* Excellent time-management skills and ability to function independently, uses discretion, works under pressure and prioritizes tasks in order to meet deadlines
Job Duties:
- Assist in day-to-day research project management, in coordination with the Principal Investigator.
- Assist in preparation of online and text message intervention development and programming.
- Perform tasks related to human subjects related activities, maintaining research and program files, and assisting team members on humans subjects and other project tasks.
- Assist the team in preparation of dissemination of reports and manuscripts.
- Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulation and codes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Hours are negotiable. Some evenings required.
