Department Summary
The Research Integrity and Compliance (RIC) unit within the Division of Research & Innovation is committed to serving, educating, and supporting the UNT research community by ensuring that the Institution and investigators conduct research in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as university policies and procedures. The RIC unit provides guidance and assistance to researchers in the following areas: Human Subjects and Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), Conflict of interest (COI), Export controls, and Responsible conduct of research (RCR).
Position Overview
The Sr. Administrative Coordinator position within the Research Integrity & Compliance unit in the Division of Research & Innovation is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to the Sr Director for Research Integrity and Compliance (RIC) and RIC unit staff. Coordinates unit activities and acts as university wide liaison, including interacting with Research Administration unit teams, faculty, staff, and student researchers, and/or external constituencies while maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and protocol. Identifies issues or problems and researches to find solutions within specific management areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced written communication skills.
*Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
*Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
*Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
*Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
*Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
*Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Preferred Qualifications
Work experience as an Office Manager/Administrative Assistant in Higher Education environment.

Job Duties
- Provides Administrative Support for the Sr Director Research Integrity and Compliance and the RIC team unit. Organizes day to day function of office, maintains calendar, schedule appointments, coordinates research compliance committee meetings, and manages logistics for RIC meetings and training workshops.
- Daily monitoring and triage of research compliance program's shared email inboxes to coordinate communication between staff and researchers in order to expedite research compliance submissions and processing workflows. Serve as backup for administrative tasks as assigned for all research compliance programs.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Day-to-day administrative oversight and management of all RIC office tasks. Process all departmental financial transactions for the unit, including but not limited to: procurement, travel, space survey, and inventory management.
