Department Summary

The Enrollment Partnerships Department at UNT builds strategic collaborations with K-12 schools, community colleges, and other organizations to create clear pathways and pipelines to the university. These partnerships are designed to support student success from early engagement through degree completion, expanding access to higher education and strengthening academic transitions across educational institutions.

Position Overview

This position serves as the strategic team lead for recruiting and advising students on guided pathways to the University of North Texas (UNT), with a focus on admissions, degree planning, program requirements, and course scheduling. This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality recruitment, admission, and advising initiatives for targeted student populations and academic transfer programs. Key responsibilities include leading and training transfer advisors, developing advisor training content, conducting quality assurance reviews, providing direct services to students, and managing retention efforts in collaboration with institutional partners to promote student academic success. The role also involves analyzing student academic data, preparing reports, and representing the university through presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related professional experience in student services, admission, professional academic advising, or enrollment management, preferably with a focus on community college students. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Strong knowledge of the transfer student lifecycle, academic advising best practices, and student development theory.
* Proven ability to interpret degree plans, articulation agreements, and academic policy to guide students effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience building relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Data-informed decision-making skills, including experience with advising or CRM systems such as Navigate, Banner, or Salesforce.
* Ability to integrate and analyze information and develop reports.
* Skill in analyzing and organizing technical data.
* Ability to effectively manage projects and work teams.
* Ability to travel to partner institutions and represent UNT at external events with professionalism and enthusiasm.
* Ability to maintain confidence of students record and abide by FERPA
* Considerable knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).

Preferred Qualifications

Job Duties

  • lead enrollment and advising services for prospective transfer students and concurrent enrollment students participating in partnership programs, ensuring consistent and high-quality support and advising on admission criteria, program requirements, degree options, transfer pathways, academic planning, and university expectations. 
  • collaborate with academic departments to implement advising policies, academic standards, procedures, and resources to support student success and meet requirements, ensuring compliance with university, state, and accreditation policies, including FERPA and concurrent enrollment and guided pathway agreements. 
  • Monitor student progress and program outcomes, using data to report outcomes to stakeholders and inform continuous improvement. 
  • Manage marketing initiatives and communication strategies to stakeholders regarding admission criteria, expectations, deadlines, and support services. 
  • Supervise and train advising staff, providing guidance on best practices in academic advising, student engagement, and program requirements, and compliance. 
  • Coordinate and deliver orientations, workshops, and support initiatives tailored to the unique needs of transfer and concurrent enrollment students. Travel required.
