The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks to improve educational practice through the generation of knowledge and to prepare education professionals who serve all students. Its focus is on the preparation of educators and school administrators who employ current theory and research.
Position Overview
The Summer Intern position is for college students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) to participate in our 2025 summer UNT STEM Camp program as “near-peer mentors” (NPMs). NPMs will collaborate with a team of other mentors to facilitate STEM activities with groups of students. Additionally, the internship requires the completion of one or two original lesson plans and a video (poster session or short talk).
Minimum Qualifications
Major must be in Mathematics, Science or Engineering.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interest in teaching the importance of serving underrepresented populations as defined by NSF, and experience working with K-12 students.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Job Duties:
Duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm as needed.
