Position Overview
Position requires a team player who will serve as the first point of contact for the department of University Accreditation and is responsible for various routine and non-routine administrative support. Responsibilities include management of the front office reception area, AVP's calendar and correspondences, and SACSCOC and THECB logs. This position requires skills for independent judgment, decision making, and good problem solving.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and three years' of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to provide administrative and operational task support to team.
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
- Supervisory skills.
- Experience in website content management software.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for the management of administrative operations for a department or program and functions as an office manager.
- Responsible for oversight of budget (including reporting and forecasting), purchasing, travel, human resources, and property control functions.
- Analyzes and makes recommendations on existing processes and is responsible for implementing approved changes. Responsible for developing new administrative processes.
- Responsible for non-routine correspondence, data compilation and analysis, preparation of reports, forms, meeting notes.
- Handles and assists in a variety of logistics such as room scheduling, calendar scheduling, and office events, and any other special projects in support of the department.
- Orders and receives supplies and manages departmental inventory.
- Manage logs for SACSCOC and THECB.
- Maintain and update departmental website.
- Responsible for management of AVP's calendar and correspondence.
Work Schedule:
Agreeable schedule Monday through Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm
