The Office of Global Engagement supports the university’s campus internationalization initiatives through global partnerships and international agreements, developing and managing international initiatives and global engagement activities, hosting international visiting delegations, and faculty and student global engagement through Fulbright and other global opportunities.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Global Engagement is responsible for providing support to the Office of Global Engagement in the areas of Fulbright and global fellowship advising, international visiting delegations and program/event management, global engagement activities and international agreements, marketing and communications, research and data management, and other areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience, or any equivalent combination of education & experience.

- Demonstrated problem solving, time management, and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students as well as faculty and staff across campus.

- Strong attention to detail
- Project management experience
- Experience using Excel, EIS, Concur, Tableau, and/or other relevant software.

Job Duties:
- Supports Fulbright and global fellowship advising, such as by serving as an initial advisor for prospects and applicants, managing marketing and promotion campaigns, organizing and leading information sessions and workshops, developing advising schedules, developing application guides and advising resources, reviewing application materials, maintaining communications with prospective, current applicants, and alumni, developing and overseeing alumni networks.
- Plans and organizes international visiting delegations and programs/events, such as by overseeing program/event planning, developing and managing budgets, managing timelines, organizing event logistics, developing briefing documents and information.
- Supports faculty and student global engagement, such as by managing the application process for internal funding, distributing awards and assisting with travel arrangements, supporting the development/renewal of international agreements through data entry and record management.
- Leads marketing and communications for the Office of Global Engagement, such as by developing content, managing marketing campaigns, liaising with appropriate internal and external stakeholders on marketing and communications.
- Conducts research and manages information and data, such as by researching universities/institutions abroad, developing reports and power point presentations, organizing data and developing dashboards, serving as a records manager.
- Provides support to the Office of Global Engagement, such as by participating in broad planning, overseeing operations in the Director’s absence, representing the Director at meetings, ensuring operational compliance with university, state, and/or federal guidelines and requirements, staying informed on best practices and regulatory information related to international education programming, engaging in continuing education and professional development, and performing other duties as assigned based on the needs of the Office of Global Engagement.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, occasional time outside of normal business hours may be required.
