Department Summary

The Registrar's Office provides support services to students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the areas of academic advising support programs, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, transfer articulation, test credit, athletic certification and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing and directing daily operations of Reporting, Systems, and Testing, and overseeing process continuity for the maintenance and coordination of student, academic and curricular records to support enrollment and retention. Contributes to the Office of the Registrar efforts to promote productivity, collaboration, and coordination within and between all sections of the office and functions as an escalation point for highly complex issues including handling advanced exceptions. This role requires direct interaction with students, former students, faculty, and staff, processing data-driven requests, developing training and ensuring compliance with a range of institutional, state, and federal regulations.

This position requires a detail driven critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is technically proficient in diverse software platforms and understands interdependencies. This position requires discernment and problem-solving to review escalations and complex and collaborative processes. Promotes and generates collaboration across teams to achieve a collective outcome and creates a unified team that get results optimizing outcomes and impact that directly affects enrollment and retention.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and six years of closely related professional experience.

Job Duties

  • Provides strategic leadership to the team by managing hiring processes, interviewing and selecting candidates, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, and ensuring continuous skill development to support organizational goals.
  • Ensures operational efficiency and effectiveness, including documentation of core processes, monitoring compliance and risk management, ongoing process improvement and supporting business process mapping.
  • Facilitates production, review, and submission of mandatory institutional data to government agencies and higher education coordinating boards.
  • Provides strategic oversight of daily processing workflows, ensuring system integrity, balanced workloads, and the timely, accurate completion of critical academic operations.
  • Provides strategic guidance and support while communicating a broad range of policy and procedural information to students, former students, faculty and staff. Interprets policy and aids stakeholders in resolution of problems including escalations and troubleshooting.
  • Communicates and enforces timelines, policies and practices, and prepares, analyzes and monitors reports and statistical data to ensure compliance with university, state and federal regulations and in support of university goals.
  • Ensures continuous improvement by proposing solutions for overall efficiency and streamlined processes that impact enrollment and retention for institutional and student success. Creates, refines, and standardizes internal and external business process documentation, ensuring organization‑wide accuracy, alignment, and operational excellence.
  • Plans and executes system testing related to platform upgrades and business process changes including time sensitive and on demand requests. Ongoing system review and work toward resolution of identified issues.
  • Provides ongoing system review and work toward resolution of identified issues as they coordinate their team’s use of systems and platforms which includes coordinating their teams for ongoing upgrades, business process changes, etc.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of specific functional operations, recommends procedural changes, and provides documentation and training to the campus community.
  • Collaborates with committee members across the university, offering specialized knowledge of academic records and processes to support integrated solutions.
