Position Overview
The Financial Operations Coordinator will work directly with the College Fiscal Officer at the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences (CBTS) to support the CBTS Leadership Team by managing financial operations within the Dean’s Office. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient and compliant financial and administrative processes across the college.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and one (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of university financial policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of university staff and external parties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or accounting.
- Two or more years of experience in a role focused on budget management, financial reporting, or a similar financial capacity.

Job Duties:
- Procurement and Contract:
- Handle procurement activities, process purchase orders and requisitions.
- Manage contracts, arrange travel, process reimbursements.
- Verify and reconcile invoices against services or goods received.
- Ensure compliance with institutional purchasing policies.
- Transaction Processing:
- Process cost transfers, ABA, voucher corrections, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget allocations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions, contracts, and procurement documents.
- Purchase Tracking and Financial Reporting:
- Monitor expenditure against the departmental budget.
- Report financial status to the College Fiscal Officer.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
- Event and Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate logistics for college events, including cost analysis and payment processing.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support for financial operations including preparing correspondence, organizing files, and managing schedules related to procurement and contracts.
- Special Projects:
- Assist in special projects as required by the Dean’s Office, providing logistical and operational support to ensure successful implementation.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm
