UNT System Information Technology is a component of The University of North Texas System. UNT System Information Technology provides the primary technology used by all campuses to support their operations. These include: shared resources of data centers, computing hardware, software applications, network and voice communications, collaboration and productivity capabilities, central web services, risk management, and security and compliance services. As a department, we strive to provide the most professional personnel possible to serve our campus constituents.
Position Overview
This position will serve as a technical project manager for infrastructure, networking and telecom, and IT operations projects. They will assist in requirements gathering, communications plans, and keeping projects on track and on budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree - preferred in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and 3 or more years of experience managing projects for infrastructure teams, networking, telecommunications, or IT operations teams. A PMP is preferred. Experience with ServiceNow is preferred. PROSCI Change Management or ADKAR is preferred.

Employee must be an excellent communicator and capable of keeping others tasked with completing the project.
Employee must be able to work independently with a high level of supervision.
Skill in managing one’s own time and the time of others.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Ability to analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues.

Job Duties
- Work closely with business and technical owners to assure execution alignment with project implementation requirements and timelines.
- Facilitate project team execution and feature completion tracking for multiple teams and initiatives.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Work with multiple IT, external business and project teams enterprise-wide to remove impediments and manage dependencies.
- Facilitate all project process planning and execution events.
- Encourage and guide the adoption of agile practices.
