Position Overview

The Senior Director Enrollment Communications & Engagement is a division level position that leads the planning, implementation, and oversight of internal and external communications in support of the mission, priorities, and goals of the Division and the University. In alignment with the vision and direction of divisional leadership, the role advances communication strategies, oversees messaging and engagement efforts, promotes standards and best practices, and evaluates outcomes to strengthen effectiveness, consistency, and user experience across communication channels. This position leads cross-functional initiatives, supports strategic priorities, and ensures communication efforts are aligned with institutional messaging, branding expectations, and UNT System policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's and eight years of closely related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Job Duties

  • Provides leadership for enrollment communications, ensuring alignment with divisional priorities and accountability for measurable outcomes related to recruitment and retention. 
  • Oversees communication planning, content oversight, and editorial direction across multiple technology platforms to ensure timely, accurate, and audience appropriate messaging that supports enrollment goals, institutional priorities, and established branding and messaging standards. 
  • Directs strategic communication and outreach efforts designed to support movement of students through key stages of the enrollment lifecycle, with responsibility for assessing communication effectiveness and recommending improvements based on performance data and identified needs in collaboration with campus stakeholders. 
  • Directs employee communication initiatives that support awareness of divisional priorities, strengthen internal communication practices, and contribute to professional development, engagement, and organizational effectiveness in accordance with University and UNT System policies and procedures. 
  • Serves as a strategic partner to division leadership and external partners in the development of communication priorities and implementation plans that support recruitment, retention, student success, and other division and University objectives. 
  • Develops and oversees processes for evaluating communication effectiveness using assessment methods, performance indicators, reporting tools, and continuous improvement practices, and uses findings to inform decision making, planning, and resource alignment.

This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the Housing and Residence Life (HRL) outward-facing marketing and communication. This position will serve as the primary person for promoting the UNT residential experience through in-person presentations to prospective students and HRL’s social media presence. This position is also responsible managing the mass communication strategy to the UNT residential population.

Student Services Specialist

The Student Services Specialist will provide excellent customer service and support to UNT Health students. This position will assist in providing on-site operational support, planning events, development of programming, outreach efforts, and preparing and maintaining databases. This position fosters student success by ensuring services and resources are accessible and efficiently maintained and delivered.

Educational Prog Assistant Director

The Educational Program Assistant Director, within the Office of Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE), will have the primary responsibility for maintaining interprofessional programs, trainings, courses, etc. for students, faculty, and clinicians/professionals. This role focuses on the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, communications, and administration of a wide variety of educational programs to increase and enhance interprofessional practice education. This position works collaboratively with other UNT Health departments, colleges, programs, and clinical learning sites to accomplish institutional initiatives in support of Interprofessional practice and education, as well as with partnering institutions.. The role will foster an emphasis on interprofessional collaboration core competencies to improve health outcomes.
