Department Summary
The Department of Population & Community Health in the College of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator (0.80 FTE) for a research study.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Coordinator will be involved in everyday operations of a federally funded research study testing the effectiveness of a smartphone app for reducing heavy drinking among people experiencing homelessness. Specifically, the Project Coordinator will work closely with Dr. Walters and the rest of the study team to ensure successful participant recruitment and retention, testing and providing feedback on study materials including surveys and phone responses, monitoring study progress and data management and analysis, and related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for different audiences.
- Writing and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Internet research and navigation.
- Ability to handle data entry and database management from multiple projects simultaneously.
- Action-oriented to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to function as a member of the team to fulfill the team's responsibilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in website content development, communications, and special events management.

Job Duties:
- Conducting in-person recruitment activities at the recruitment site in Ft. Worth (Presbyterian Night Shelter), including flyer distribution and scheduling visits
- Organizing and preparing recruitment materials
- Retaining participants through study phone calls, emails, text messages, and in-person contact
- Monitoring and reporting study progress
- Supporting data management, including data entry, data converting, data quality checking, and related activities
- Performing other duties as required
Work Schedule:
8 AM - 5 PM; 4 days a week, negotiable
