Department Summary
Modern biology encompasses the study of all aspects of living systems from the molecular basis of genetic inheritance to the interactions between organisms and the environment.
Position Overview
Conduct field and lab data collection associated with numerous funded projects. Fieldwork involves long days working in potentially inclement weather at remote locations, some international. For field work, you need to be familiar with bird song and sight identification, plant identification, and modern silviculture practices. Lab work involves molecular population genetic work using both the lab facility at UNT and the mobile lab facility. Lab work may involve international travel with the mobile lab. Data analytical work involves acoustical analysis and geospatial analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
You must have previous experience with the program for data analysis and/or have prior lab experience.
