Department Summary
The Registrar's Office provides support services to students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the areas of academic advising support programs, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, transfer articulation, test credit, athletic certification and maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for strategic oversight of Curriculum, Scheduling, and Transfer, including planning, organizing, and ensuring continuity and continuous improvement of processes, systems, and student services including the maintenance and coordination of student, academic and curricular records to support enrollment and retention. Involved in new initiatives with colleagues across campus related to enrollment and retention to ensure successful implementation. Oversees operations of multiple functional areas and works directly with staff for ongoing professional development and the implementation of new initiatives, and/or updated systems, policies, and processes. Advises students, parents, faculty and staff about departmental and university regulations. Requires discernment to resolve complex escalations and implement proactive solutions.
This position manages teams within the Office of the Registrar, collaborates across the division, and with faculty and staff throughout the University. Works to ensure the accuracy and integrity of academic and student data, and compliance with a range of institutional, state, and federal regulations. Responsible for collaboration across teams to achieve a collective outcome that optimizes results and impact that directly affects enrollment and retention.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five or more years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated competency in administering services and operations in a college/university environment, including demonstrated skill in problem solving and change management. Knowledge of hiring, developing, supervising, and evaluating staff. Commitment to providing highquality customer service. Ability to work in a collaborative resultsoriented environment. Consistently exercises initiative, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Evaluates and resolves problems. Establishes, motivates, and supports effective teams to meet objectives. Manages conflict, works collaboratively within office and with other university departments. Current knowledge of Federal educational laws and policies pertaining to education records. Ability to effectively use computer and information technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree and a minimum of 6 years of increasing responsibility in higher education, particularly in a Registrar or Enrollment Management Office. Experience with higher education systems.

Job Duties
- Manages multiple functional areas within the Office of the Registrar, mentors staff and provides opportunities for individual development and growth while ensuring the business needs of the unit are met. Sets goals and creates action plans to realize efficiencies and quality service.
- Provides supervision and direction for continuous improvement and continuity of operations, mandated initiatives, procedures and policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Provides ongoing support for programs and systems that facilitate enrollment and retention. Responsible for the oversight of staff in assigned areas, including hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, and development of professional and supervisor level staff.
- Plans and develops targeted communications and documentation related to student record maintenance, processes, procedures, events and operations for multiple audiences like students, faculty, staff, state auditors, etc.
- Ensures productivity, collaboration, and coordination across all areas of the Office of the Registrar.
- Engages with leadership across the university related to business processes and practices with academic and student data that impact enrollment and retention.
- Serves as the escalation point for complex issues or problems with operational functions or services, and implements proactive solutions.
- Documents core processes for operational efficiency, monitors compliance, risk management, and ongoing effectiveness of specific functional operations to recommend and implement organizational and procedural changes. Oversees training of campus community related to Registrar processes and services.
- Assists the University Registrar in prioritizing and implementing multiple competing projects and manages staff resources to complete departmental responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Represents the University Registrar as an expert on registration, records, academic scheduling and support, and certification on a variety of university committees as requested.
